While DevOps resolves planning, development, delivery, and operations through process automation and a cultural change based on requirements gathering, bug tracking, visual project evolution, TDD, testing, continuous integration of changes, etc.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_DevOps\"><\/span>Why DevOps<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The purpose is to reduce the time to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.trendstechblog.com\/category\/marketing\/\"><strong>market<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, or time to market, and test the demand for these characteristics, obtaining the following advantages for customers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuous feedback and validation that the &#8220;features&#8221; offered are meeting expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of efforts in customer support.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of failures in deliveries.<\/li>\n<li>Greater agility to respond to changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Practical_Example_Of_Benefits_For_The_Project_And_The_Client\"><\/span>A Practical Example Of Benefits For The Project And The Client<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As you can see, Agile and DevOps focus on the customer and user, and our software product meets their real needs by delivering continuous value. I want to talk about a practical and evolving case. Integra&#8217;s IoT department took the risk of applying this cultural change. How it has been achieved has been by attacking from various points.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training in good software practices, system architectures, Clean Code, QA Automation, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Scrum, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Automation of development processes thanks to Azure DevOps, since it allows us to organize ourselves and keep track of each change from its requirements until it arrives in the cloud.<\/li>\n<li>However, the inclusion of this tool is a mere instrument like the ones I have named before.<\/li>\n<li>Introduction of Scrum as an organized methodology.<\/li>\n<li>Change in the approach given to IoT software products.<\/li>\n<li>Cultural change of each one of the members of the department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a result, there was an improvement in the coordination between teams, daily delivery of evolutionary and corrective, continuous feedback, detection of failures, the discovery of characteristics that had not been taken into account in the initial phases of the project, reaction to changes, maintenance of the customer and user at the center and satisfaction of the needs that he raises in his accompaniment.<\/p>\n<p>The growth of this work methodology to develop new software should make us reflect on the importance of bringing together the work of Development and Systems technicians.
